DJ Course
The launch of a new studio means that some IB students are enjoying a rather different approach to music.
Teacher, Rob Leeman, who was a disc jockey at university and also played in a band, is now teaching DJ-ing and music mixing and production to IB students as part of their CAS Programme. As well as being very creative, students can also use their skills to put on shows for charity. Rory Bourke, Sam Smith and Jack Browning recently performed for the first time in front of a live audience when they did a set for students who have applied to do IB next year, as they took part in an 'It's a Knockout' event. The response was very positive from everyone there.
Mr Leeman said, 'it's fantastic working with the sixth form, helping them to produce professional sounds. We've had a very positive response from the students.'
