ICT in the Local Community

Two Year 13 students have been working with members of the local community for over a year as part of a community link project between Tollbar BEC and the All Saints Church, Waltham. Elliott Heward and Lee Horsfall have been teaching computer skills to a group of local residents, and both have been very popular with all of the clients they have helped. Both students have created an imaginative course, showing patience and understanding in their teaching. They have also suggested extra initiatives such as using the internet link in the local library. Reverend Alan Hundleby, was full of praise and admiration for Lee and Elliott, saying, ‘they have been very popular with everyone and have made an extremely good impression of themselves. They have been a credit to the College.'
