BHF Wear Red
Throughout this year, group of IB students have been involved in raising money for the British Heart Foundation. They have taken part in a number of events, which started back in September at the Cleethorpes Sponsored Walk around the boating lake. Some students actually took part in the run, though most were involved in helping as marshals and volunteering in the registration tent. One student, James Blake, even dressed up in the Mr. Hearty outfit! The event raised £1119.01 in total which was a tremendous effort from all involved.
Other events have included a bake sale and students collecting donations during Open Evenings, which together have raised another £50.
A very popular event was the Wear Red Day, which led to some very scary outfits and make-up. However, it was a very enjoyable event which raised another £171.17 for the charity.
