Wish Upon a Star

A small group of students have been involved in a number of activities this year, with the purpose of raising money for 'When you Wish Upon a Star.' This is a charity specializing in making dreams come true for children with life threatening illnesses. Earlier in the year, the girls organized a very popular netball competition for staff and IB students.

Earlier in July, Stacey and Sammy Needham, with the support of Miss Taylor organized a Rounders competition for staff. It was very well attended and though it was very competitive and got a bit heated at times, the teachers thoroughly enjoyed the chance to relax and take bat to ball.

Sammy and Stacey organized the whole event and asked staff to pay £2.00 each, raising nearly £80.00 on the evening.

Overall, the team have raised over £200 for the charity. Their aim is to raise another £100 so they can pay for one child to go to Lapland at Christmas.
